Ingredients (serves 4)
For the prawns:

400 g (about 1 lb) prawns, peeled and deveined

1 tbsp olive oil

1 garlic clove, minced

½ tsp smoked paprika (or chili powder)

½ tsp cumin

Salt and pepper, to taste

Juice of ½ lime
For the toppings:

1 avocado, sliced or mashed

½ small red onion, finely diced

1 small tomato, diced (or a handful of cherry tomatoes, chopped)

Fresh cilantro (optional)

1 small chili or jalapeño, finely chopped (optional for heat)

Lime wedges, for serving
For the tostadas:

4 corn tortillas (or small flour tortillas)

Oil for frying or brushing
Instructions

Make the tostadas

Heat a bit of oil in a pan over medium heat.

Fry each tortilla for 30–45 seconds per side, until crisp and golden.

Drain on paper towels.

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
