Camembert Spaghetti 🧀🍝
A creamy, French-inspired pasta that takes about 15 minutes.
Ingredients — 2 servings
- 200 g spaghetti
- 120–150 g Camembert
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 100 ml cooking cream
- ½ cup pasta water
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Optional: thyme, parsley, walnuts, or a little Parmesan
Method
- Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
- Prepare the Camembert: remove most of the rind if you prefer a smoother sauce, then cut the cheese into pieces.
- Heat the olive oil or butter in a pan. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Add the cream and Camembert over low heat. Stir until the cheese melts into a creamy sauce.
- Add a splash of pasta water and stir until silky.
- Toss in the drained spaghetti. Add more pasta water as needed until the sauce coats the pasta beautifully.
- Finish with plenty of black pepper and, if you like, thyme.
Excellent upgrade: add sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions. For a sharper Mediterranean touch, add a tiny amount of Dijon mustard and fresh thyme.
