Not everyone will get you

That’s true—and it can feel a bit lonely at first, but it’s also just how people work.

Everyone sees the world through their own experiences, habits, and emotions. So even when someone cares about you, they might not fully “get” every part of you. And you might not fully get them either. That mismatch isn’t a flaw—it’s normal.

What matters more is finding a few people who respect you, listen, and try to understand even when they don’t perfectly relate. That kind of connection is rarer, but it’s the one that actually feels steady.

And honestly, not being fully “gotten” by everyone can be freeing too. It means you’re not required to fit into one version of yourself for the world.
