When my mother and father forsake me, the Lord will take me up

 That line is from Psalm 27:10 💛

It’s a deeply comforting promise.

It means that even if the people who are supposed to protect or understand you fail—God does not. Human love can be inconsistent, distracted, or limited. God’s care isn’t. “The Lord will take me up” carries the sense of gathering, adopting, holding close—like being lifted into safe arms.

It’s not saying parents will forsake you—it’s saying even if the worst happens, you are not left without a home.
