Quick 15-minute Beef with Mushrooms

Here’s a quick 15-minute Beef with Mushrooms version—fast, simple, and still tasty:

⏱ 15-Minute Quick Beef with Mushrooms

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 300 g (10 oz) beef, thinly sliced

  • 150 g (5 oz) mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp water or beef broth

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep beef:

    • Toss beef with 1 tsp soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of pepper.

  2. Cook beef quickly:

    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over high heat.

    • Stir-fry beef 2–3 minutes until just browned. Remove and set aside.

  3. Cook veggies:

    • In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil.

    • Sauté onions for 1–2 minutes, then add garlic and mushrooms.

    • Cook 3–4 minutes until mushrooms are tender.

  4. Combine & finish:

    • Return beef to pan.

    • Add remaining soy sauce and 2 tbsp water/broth. Stir 1–2 minutes until everything is heated and sauce slightly thickens.

  5. Serve:

    • Adjust salt & pepper.

    • Serve immediately with rice or noodles.

Tips for speed:

  • Slice beef and mushrooms thinly to cook faster.

  • High heat keeps meat tender and veggies crisp.

  • Skip oyster sauce—soy sauce and a little broth are enough for a fast weeknight meal.
