One-pan version
Here’s a one-pan Beef with Mushrooms and Rice recipe—super easy, minimal cleanup, and ready in about 25 minutes.
🥘 One-Pan Beef with Mushrooms and Rice
Ingredients (serves 2–3)

300 g (10 oz) beef, thinly sliced

150 g (5 oz) mushrooms, sliced

1 small onion, chopped
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 cup uncooked rice (white or jasmine)

2 cups beef or vegetable broth
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp cornstarch
-
2 tbsp vegetable oil
-
Salt & pepper to taste

Optional: green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions

Prep beef:

Toss sliced beef with 1 tsp soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of pepper.

Cook beef:

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Stir-fry beef 2–3 minutes until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.

Cook veggies & rice:
-
In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil.

Sauté onions 1–2 minutes, then garlic and mushrooms 3 minutes.

Add uncooked rice, stir for 1 minute to coat with oil.

Add liquid & cook:

Pour in 2 cups broth and 1 tbsp soy sauce.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes until rice is tender.

Combine & finish:

Return beef to the pan, stir, and cook 2–3 minutes until beef is heated through.

Adjust salt & pepper.

Serve:

Garnish with parsley or green onions.

Serve hot as a complete meal.

Use thinly sliced beef so it cooks quickly with the rice.

Stir once midway to prevent sticking, but don’t over-stir.
