Mozzarella burger recipe

 Here’s a tasty recipe for a Mozzarella Burger that’s juicy, cheesy, and packed with flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or plant-based alternative if preferred)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder (optional)

  • 4 fresh mozzarella cheese slices (or 1 cup shredded mozzarella)

  • 4 burger buns

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for buns)

  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

  • Tomato slices (optional)

  • Lettuce (optional)

  • Balsamic glaze or ketchup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the burger patties:

    • In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently, being careful not to overwork the meat.

    • Form the mixture into 4 even-sized patties, making a small indentation in the center of each to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

  2. Cook the patties:

    • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.

    • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness (internal temperature should be 160°F/71°C for medium).

  3. Add the mozzarella:

    • When the patties are nearly done, place a slice of fresh mozzarella (or a generous amount of shredded mozzarella) on top of each patty.

    • Cover the pan with a lid or foil to help the cheese melt, and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is gooey and melted.

  4. Toast the buns (optional):

    • While the patties cook, lightly butter the inside of your burger buns (optional) and toast them in a separate pan or on the grill until golden and crispy.

  5. Assemble the burger:

    • Place each mozzarella-topped patty on the bottom half of the toasted buns.

    • Add any additional toppings you like, such as fresh basil leaves, tomato slices, or lettuce.

    • Drizzle with balsamic glaze or your favorite sauce for extra flavor.

  6. Serve:

    • Place the top bun on each burger and serve with fries or a side salad.
