Here's a recipe for Cinnamon Donuts that’s perfect for a cozy treat! These can be baked or fried, but here’s a simple baked version to keep them light yet delicious.
Baked Cinnamon Donuts

Ingredients:
For the Donuts:

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

½ tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional for extra warmth)

⅓ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg
-
¾ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 tbsp vegetable oil
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon
-
2 tbsp melted butter (for coating)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Donut Batter:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan or spray with non-stick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a separate bowl, mix sugar, egg, milk, vanilla extract, melted butter, and oil until smooth.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter will be thick.
2. Bake the Donuts:

Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about ¾ full.

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and the donuts are golden.

Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
3. Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon for the coating.

Brush each donut with melted butter, then immediately dip into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, coating well.
